Ballard Food Bank provides food assistance and other social services to those in need in the Ballard area of Seattle, Washington. Blue Mountain Action Council

BMAC rescues over 300,000 pounds of food each year from grocery stores, farms and gardens. Each week, our team makes rounds at local grocery stores, rescuing food that may otherwise have been thrown away. We take that food and get it into the homes of neighbors. Our partners at the Whitman Glean team work with farms to glean their excess produce that sometimes would die on the vine. We include that fresh produce in food boxes and deliver it to local food pantries. We encourage neighbors to donate extra produce from their gardens and often take it to residents at our housing properties.

Clark County Food Bank

Clark County Food Bank manages over 8 million pounds of food each year, which is equivalent to 6.7 million meals for individuals and families in need. They work with 53 nonprofit partner agencies at 130 distribution sites, along with food bank-led programs, to serve neighbors facing food insecurity throughout Clark County. Food Bank Farm

Food Bank Farm is an outreach ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Redmond, WA. The primary mission is to reduce food waste and provide food for those in need. The organization focuses on gleaning surplus crops from area farmers, arranging transportation and logistics for the collection events, and distributing the harvested food to various organizations based on the type of produce We grow 20 acres of produce and glean at neighboring farms to supply about 200,000 pounds of fresh produce to the food banks of western WA.
