Oregon Gleaning & Food Recovery Organizations

Alsea Valley Gleaners

Alsea Valley Gleaners (AVG) serves the Alsea Valley community by gathering and distributing food to local families in need. AVG’s members participate in the shared monthly costs and work required to gather, store, and distribute the excess food we have gleaned or been donated. In partnership with the Linn/Benton food share program, our generous donors, and dedicated gleaners, our group has been able to handle our members' immediate food needs as well as help them prepare for getting through those seasons when the food supply is less abundant.

We believe that working together accomplishes more than working alone, and building community and a sense of purpose benefits everyone.
