JEE Foods
JEE Foods is a nonprofit organization, powered by high school students. We strive to end hunger, food waste, and poverty through food rescue. While our team is committed to addressing the need of those who are hungry, we aim to take on the core factors in which these problems are rooted, to create sustainable change. At the core of our organization, JEE Foods takes food that would otherwise be discarded by restaurants, farms, and grocers and rescues it. This rescued food either travels back to our main facilities, where we transform it to extend its shelf-life or it is delivered directly to a nonprofit organization.

La Soupe
La Soupe bridges the gap between food waste and hunger. Our chef based model utilizes our volunteer network to rescue perishables from farms, grocers and wholesalers. Our highly talented transform team of chefs and volunteers transform this food into healthy soupes and meals. Our soupes and meals are distributed to roughly 100 share partners that feed the food insecure and are available to purchase at our retail storefront. We have a well established program of rescuing prepared overages from restaurants and catering and deliver directly to agencies that feed the hungry.

The Hunger Network
We have a network of over 70 Hunger Centers strategically placed throughout Cuyahoga County. Hunger Network food pantries provide a three-day supply of groceries for each member of the household once a month based on requirements. We have hot meal programs throughout our network that offer complete and nutritious congregate meals, which are open to the community free of charge. Because our Hunger Center clients not only live in food desserts and experience food insecurity daily, they also live in areas that lack access to basic health resources. It is our mission to increase and maintain wellness for our Hunger Center clients and their families. Since 2016, Hunger Network staff, students, pharmacy experts, and health care professionals have completed more than 15,000 preventive health screenings to 2,300 Cuyahoga County residents. Our team continues to schedule educational speakers and present materials on topics such as nutrition, healthy cooking, and mental health. Hunger Network Food Rescue launched in November of 2018 with one goal: to bridge the gap between food waste and hunger. 40% of food is wasted while 1 in 5 Clevelanders face hunger. Our food rescue program acts as a direct response to bridge that disconnect while also addressing the environmental issues associated with food waste in our landfills. The Food Rescue Hero app developed by 412 Food Rescue in Pittsburgh, connects food suppliers to nonprofits through a dedicated corps of volunteers who transport fresh produce daily.
